I was able to do some initial testing on my E-conversion Bell47G. My hover time was 8 minutes with reserve capacity. Motor was just warm to the touch which is good, batteries barely warm.
Specs:
Z power 50-600 brushless motor
CC HV 85 controller
2- 14.8 volt 4400 lipo,s in series
1- 26tooth Joker pinion

Hi,
I am thinking of getting one of these helis and would love to convert it to electric as well before flying...how difficult is the conversion? I have minimal tools for milling etc right now so would have to be able to do this with basics...drills, files etc :)
Thanks for posting the pics, gave me a BIG smile as this is the model I have always wanted...I started with A Morley 2C many years ago whic was built from scratch following his plans...never flew it but was great way to learn about helis and how they go together :)

The conversion isnt that difficult. It can be done with basic hand tools and a drill. The motor bracket; you could have a sheet metal shop bend one out of some .063 aluminum sheet.
