I plan to attend. I am a bit confused about this event though. It is probably because I am not used to the event lingo yet. Flyin sounds like there is an indoor event too to me. Or is flyin the same as a funfly? I assume this is a funfly too right?
If a vendor does come... bring some 450se newV2 feathering spindles if you have them :). Ill buy a few off of you.

I am sorry to inform you all that no vendors are allowed. Let me clarify, we are on County property under "Parks and Recreation". They do not allow vending on the property except where the club is selling shirts or food. We are trying to convince the county that vendors are a big part of any event we hold, but will not have "permission" to do so for this event.
Fly-In refers to a fullscale event, since I'm a full-scale pilot too, I used that lingo. It's really an open event and it's outdoor. We have a first class facility and we'll be running two flight - lines for this event.
We are getting rain now, so all the dust and dirt will be washed away and maybe it'll cool off before Friday. Forecast is for scattered showers over the week-end (20%). So those of you from FL , that's just to cover the forecasters butts.
I'll be posting directions shortly.

No it's open to every type of heli. Lots of 3D pilots showing off their 3D skills. Some of the FAI guys will be there as well. Rolando Perez (USA Team Manager) is a member of our club, so we (the club) will be giving the Team 100% of the registration fees collected.

Thanks for the info Gene. Sad thing about the vendors... Hopefully you can get that approved at some point in the future. I really enjoy looking at what they have to offer.
Do you know how DX7 transmitters will be handled at the event?

OK, going to take a stab at this. Remember you can always Google the directions (Google maps), address is: 12705 Balm-Boyette Road
Riverview, Florida 33569
- If you are on I-4 headed west (towards Tampa from Lakeland). Exit I-75 exit (I believe it's Exit 9 ), veer left - take I-75 South (Naples).
- If you are on I-4 headed East (towards Lakeland from downtown Tampa). Exit I-75 exit (Exit 9 ), veer right - take I-75 South (Naples).
Head South for about 10 miles to the Gibsonton Exit (Exit 250). Take exit 250, veer left, then turn left at light onto Gibsonton Drive. Head east on Gibsonton drive to the 2nd light (Hwy 301). Turn right (south) on 301, drive about 2 miles to Rhodine road, turn left on Rhodine. Take Rhodine Rd East till it ends at Boyette Road. Turn right on Boyette, follow road (curves left, then right), do not veer to left at intersection, stay right. Now the road turns into Balm-Boyette Road. Entrance is 1/2 mile on right. Look for church/house on right (Tan color), should see our sign.
- Heading North on I-75 from Naples, take exit 246 (Big Bend Road), turn right (east) on Big Bend Road to Hwy 301. Turn left onto 301 (north), go to Rhodine Road, then follow directions above about Rhodine Road.
- Heading East on Hwy 60 turn left on Hwy 39 south. Take 39 south to Litha-Pinecrest Road (6.6 miles), turn right, take Lithia Pinecrest to Boyette Road turn left onto Boyette (3.4 miles). Take Boyette to Balm-Boyette (4.7 miles), turn left (South) onto Balm Boyette Road. Field entrance is 1/2 mile on the right.

Not suppose to be any problems with DX-7's. Less trouble and no impound needed.
Now for the event, I don't know, never had any before at an event. It's going to depend how many pilots in total and how many have Dx-7's.

got spektrum?
Yup. Spektrum FTW!!
Me thinks I should buy a new lipo before I come down too. I only have two at the moment.
Do you have a nice padded area for newbs like me to hover around? I'm practicing this week so I can show off my massive 2Dz to you guys. :D

Yeah, plenty of space for newbs. Probably have an electric area for Trex and like helis.

Awesome. Sounds like it'll be a blast. This is my first fun-fly and I've been flying the T-Rex for about 3 months now. Hovering is good, piros are ok, working on orientations and trying to move into FF.
I look forward to seeing all the 'Freaks there. Maybe I'll pick up a few pointers.

Looking forward to meeting you.
There will be lots of pilots there to help out. This is what it's all about, having fun, sharing info, helping each other out. You'll see some awesome flying too.

Since the county is not going to allow vendors we will not be set up at the fly in. Anyone who wants anything pm us and we will have it in the truck. Everyone who knows us knows we carry alot of inventory, so let us know what you want.

Just keep it in the truck...no problem in making deals to some friends!
