Lots of flyin today! :D It was hot, but the wind was blowing a little so it didn't feel so bad. It was great to see all the Florida gang again!! There was a good mix of pilots from beginners to advanced that really made it fun. Also a good mix of both FAI and 3D pilots.
Thanks to Gene and the triple Creek Flyers for putting on a great event. The food was great and the field was in top condition! :glasses2:

Yes there were lots of people there today, both pilots and spectators. There was a nice FAI and 3D demo at around noon too. I can't remember the pilot's names but they both did a great job.
Gene said we had 29 registered pilots (#9 here ) so a very good first annual fun-fly for the Triple Creek RC club. The weather may not stay nice enough for a day 3 but I plan on heading out there anyway. The wind has been a bit rough on my little T-Rex, seeing as I'm still learning, but I think I managed to get the hang of it today.
Next stop Huntsville!

TCRC`s First Annual Funfly was great. Fridays flying was beautiful, and Saturdays was even better except for the WIND due to an approaching Cold Front. Sunday may be a wash literally! TCRC club members grilled Friday, and Saturday with Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chips, and Soda available. Registration was easy and all the landing fees went to Team USA/FAI/F3C that will be traveling to Poland this summer for the World Cup. Go guys. Nob Muraki, Cliff Hiatt, and Gordie were present at the funfly to help any future FAI flyers with tips, and techniques.
On the 3D side, Jared Granzow made the trip all the way from Columbus Ohio. Jared`s flying was off the hook as usual, :smokin: and wish there were some videos to post. Bobby Smith had his stable full of electrics, and sliding to the DARKSIDE with a nitro! :WOW Clyde, Steve, and Steve had the Hurricane, and T-Rex`s rocking. Rodney had his nitros working, and his foamy plank that is literally hands off. Walk away hands off!
I think TCRC can call this successful with 29 pilots for the first event. Looking for another event next year. JUST a different weekend as not to conflict with Toledo.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

You guys have an AWESOME facility and we will definetly put it on the Turkey Gathering list for future get togethers.
Today is nasty 86 miles south of you and it's a chance to get some more building done, Eric Steven said you and I need to talk about your Hyper on Steroids  it was a big hit...
Thanks guys, see everyone at the next one

Thanks to everybody for coming out, it was a blast. Pictures will come, have to get them from another member to post. Eric, we definitely need a photographer and video. We'll get a date soon (by June or July) and work on that. Eric, I and the rest of the club will come up with a nice logo to put on T-shirts too.
Today, I arrived at 7:45 am and Doug Phillips was there around 8. It wasn't great and it got worse, so we waited out the nasty stuff in the club house (a little sideways rain). It started to clear up before noon.
You all missed me getting a flight in. Man autos were a breeze. :D

Thanks for posting the pics. I think Bobby, and Steven enjoyed the XeroG. Bobby was like ah another battery, and some more fuel. The facility speaks for itself. We will have to plan a different day, or weekend next year with the North exposure.
Not a bad gig for the first try. Thanks again.....Eric
