I've noticed the helicopters slide around a lot during head spool up, even more so than the real model.
Is there anyway of adjusting that out of the sim?

Thanks

how are you spooling up? normal mode or idle up? I don't bother slowly spooling except for when I am practicing that part, so I leave it in idle up, which causes a rotation during spool. If the collective is too positive during spool, you may 'slide'.

It happens even with full negative pitch.. I don't bother spooling up either. Slap the thing into IDL1 or ILD2 and center the stick until it's up to speed. Whatever direction the helo is facing when it's ready to fly is how I pick it up.

Both modes it will rotate around on the skids from the torque, using the default setup settings. Now if I spool up abnormly slowly, I can keep it in one place. Adjust the physics of the skid length and width maybe to keep it from doing that? Just a thought.

If you mean rotating, rather than sliding (to me slide is a straight movement), then that is normal. DId you mean something else?

Rotating around it's yaw axis. But if I take the power up ever so slowly, it's not as pronounced. My actual Raptor 50 didn't behave that way. It would be nice to be able to tone the sim down a little.

Many people have asked about that and no one has come up with a fix, that I am aware of. Sorry! :dontknow
