Got my 32-3 today  Managed to get it in one of the Ions and got a whole 4 min. flight before it was too dark to fly...Oh boy I think this ones gonna be a hoot! Now if that LRK would just show up...they didn't have a problem taking the money but who knows where the motor is! Anyway, more to come on the 32-3 setup with different battery configs. Russ, let us know how yours works out as well.

adios,
Eric K.

Well my cuzz is about ready to try electric , it took a while but after looking at the post of Chris;s HP rateing of 4.18 , well he has a spare tempest for this 5 minute beast , or the 32-3 Im trying to figure out which might be best for him , but I need to know which motor the LRK is ? 4120 series or 4130 series???? thanks Tony

Eric, be mindfull of that LRK when you get it. When I FDR'd it I showed current peaks of 98 Amps plus. Make absolutely certain your batteries are up to the task or you'll have a nice new set of water wings. The 32-3 only showed peaks of a little over 80 amps...most packs should be safe there.

Tony, I think the numbers you mention are for the AXI motors. Check out www.torcman.com the motors I have been looking at are the 430-30 in several different winds. There is also one that is not yet listed on the site which I should have any day now, the 430-40, 10mm longer stator.

I have also been following Nigels idea over on the Ezone, the one about fitting a small fan to the shaft of the motor directly. I have tried this on three motors now and the results are very favorable, temps are down 10 to 30 degrees. This should make using the really high power outrunners more feasable, but again, watch the capabilities of your batteries and controls.

Hey Chris,

Do you have all the conversion parts for the 32-3 in stock now? Patiently waiting... :D

How do you mount the LRK motors in the Ion? Since they mount from the top (from the looks of it), do you have a mount made up or is there some other way around that?

Forgot to ask...what kind of blades were you using when you got 80 amps on the 32-3? I'm seeing ~70 amp peaks with the stock motor but am only using 680 Razors.

Hi Scot

The only part I have been waiting on is the pinion adaptor and I think we will have those in this week. The LRK's mount exactly the same as the Actros, in fact, they share the same mount. It is cut universal to work with both motors.

For all of my recent testing (since I acquired the FDR), I have kept the same blades, a pair of 700mm MAH G2's. The new TG's are almost identical and quieter, but I started this FDR stuff with the G2's so I'll stay with them for now.

I have always ordered mine from Jochen Zaiser through the website. Turn around is fairly quick, I usually get what I order in a couple weeks.
