Final weight without a downlink system installed is right at 9 Lbs 12 Ozs on my 500 MM Logo 10.

Logo RTF no Battery: 4.01.3 Lbs
Battery A123 10S: 1.11.1 Lbs
Camera and mount with various batteries tested: 3.12.5 Lbs
Misc screws and skidd attatchments(foamie): 4.1 Ozs

Camera is a Olympus Evolt 500 DSLR with 14-45 mm lens.

I am asuming after the downlink I will be at or just slightly over 10 Lbs, I have not removed the skidds on the heli yet so I am hoping that they will be the downlink + about 5-6 ozs.

why not stretch to 550. it is just new boom/belt. I would recommend it for auto. it will lift it. just will be hard to auto. I am assuming that this is with pan mount.

Like Andrey says, it will definitely lift it. Mine is at 9 pounds 6 ounces (Logo 10 Carbon, CF boom, A640 w/wide angle adapter/lens...) and it has no problem at all lifting. It doesn't auto great, but most Logo 10 setups don't anyway. I have "run out of gas", by draining an a123 10-cell pack all the way down, forcing an auto of sorts. It wasn't pretty, but I got it down.

I really like the idea of keeping it with 500 blades. I'm just not confident at all with flying a Raptor in any sort of neigborhood environment, and I still do more of that type work than anything else. Maybe if I were a better pilot. :) I have no such qualms about flying my Logo 10 in these areas, though.

You are looking for opinions , here's mine:

Not a chance you will successfully auto that in an emergency situation. Make sure you never have to. Keep track of your time aloft, run the motor/esc/batt well within its limits etc.

It's like my wife always says: "You need to stretch it"! :glasses2:

GJestico: I am used to flying a trex 450 so I maintain good flight control on times, as we all know a trex does not auto well at all regardless.

had it up today with just the mount on it and flys as if it were not there.

Wow, that's quite a load for a L10. How well does it fly? Which motor?
