My wife and I just arrived home from the BHAM event.
We wish to thank you guys for the great hospitality. Even though the weather was chilly the warmth from everyone made us forget about it. It's sure an event we won't forget. It was a great vacation for us.
I want to thank David Harkey for the wonderful organization. He has the perfect mix of safety and freedom that makes events enjoyable. I could tell that our pilots were having fun because they were not only flying but also clowning around trying to do wheelies in the ditch with the golf carts and having food fights at the restaurants at night. By the way if I find who filled up my hoodie with peanuts I will kick your arse. Too bad I didn't need to put in on my head or it would have been a funny thing to watch :D
Clint thanks a lot for the help on the tricks programming of the 14MZ. You made my life a lot easier. Gordie as always it was fun getting together and thanks for the info about the fuse.
Vance thanks a lot for lots of fun and great flying, Matt dude you ruled that ditch and the water stuff was off the hook! Chief Wilson you're a one-man pit crew. I can't believe how quick you fixed Henry's "too close" encounter with the ditch.
Dog you're a dangeours man with a camera. I can't wait to watch all the "stuff" I saw you were taping ;). Will you're a sounds effect box for videos all by yourself. Thanks for loaning me that ugly jacket when I was cold ;)
John and the Tallahassee boys thanks for all the laughs. Jodi you are way too funny man next time we'll take Henry to walmart ;) Henry dude I think you need professional help but I still love you.
There are events you go to that just remembering them brings a smile to your face and this is one of those.
Again thanks a lot for all the warmth and we'll be there again next year.
Augusto.

Dog you're a dangerous man with a camera. I can't wait to watch all the "stuff" I saw you were taping
I never show "EVERYTHING". Then there would be no reason to go to these events. ;)
I just glad you told you pilots to lay the smack down and "Do the Ditch"! Those Avants tore up the ditch and we broke a few aircraft but it was still an awesome Fun Fly for sure.
:YeaBaby: YEAH BABY! BRING IT! :YeaBaby:
You are a DAMN FINE pilot yourself too BTW.

David, again it was incredible to be at such an awesome event, even for those of us who don't fly. It was kid friendly, dog friendly, family friendly, pilot friendly, and even ditch friendly to those whom it didn't suck in there. But if you look at Bobby's pic when he's bringing his copter carnage out of the ditch, he's even smiling then. Guess it was a "fun" crash.
David, all I can say is I love you bunches and really enjoy being at your event. Especially when you bring the dogs. Tell Jan it was great spending the evening with her too.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to Gail Dixon and Gina Blackwell for feeding me and Cason and Clint if he makes it there on time as usual. I love you ladies and your families tons.
Jackie, it was great to see you so busy with all of your graphics. You are awesome.
B&B, glad the new truck can haul so much stuff up for the pilots!!!!
Billigan, I love the shirts.
Henry, you did okay this weekend! But uh, where in the world were you and Jody? I thought you guys stayed with us in the camper, but I never really saw either of you. Hope you had fun. Sorry I woke you guys up early Saturday!
Lots of love to all.
Austin, thanks so much for playing with Cason in between your flights.
Great event! Thanks David! I had a great time talking and hanging out with everyone.
Awesome showing by the Avant Team. Henry, you make a great addition to the Team. You guys rock!
Augusto, it was nice to finally meet you in person. I like your have fun attitude towards the hobby and I hope our relationship continues to grow.
Clint...... Thank you! I owe you one.
Matt, great flying dude! Ever thought about float flying?
Vance, dude you rule the 50 size smack on the ditch. Sunday morning you were the "Ditch Witch" :noteworthy
Will, Clay, Dog, and Steve..... You guys are off the hook! I had a blast Friday night! Look forward to doing it again. The pictures and video that you guys capture is incredible.
Thank you for "Bringing It" to us even when we can not attend some of these events.
I want to make sure this gets mentioned. The flying this year was absofreakinlutely, totally off the hook but NOT ONCE did I see anyone flying in a manner that would concern me as a CD, David ran this event about as good as it can be done. David, you have totally set the mark for safety and FUN. Congratulations on a premier event.
Gordie
Augusto,
I really enjoyed getting the chance to chat with you. Looks like your model is going to be a winner and you have fielded an outstanding team of young men, great flyers and great people, a winning combination. I wish you luck with the release of the Aurora and would love to see one in a Staysee going about 100mph.

Great event Harkey! thanks again for yours and others hard work. Glad to see yet again so many friendly faces and get this year's season off to a GREAT start.
"Hope everyone had a safe and uneventful trip back to their home. "
as for me David, and all others concerned, I made it there and back with no incidents unlike last year. Hopefully my odds are improving!

Augusto Wrote "Chief Wilson you're a one-man pit crew. I can't believe how quick you fixed Henry's "too close" encounter with the ditch. " What is hard to believe? You designed the Aurora to be easy to work on and it is. Plus it wasn't hurt too bad actually an easy rebuild. I am glad I could have been of help to the Team.

What a great event as usual!!!Big thanks to David Harkey and crew for putting on such an event. It was really great seeing everyone again and meeting some new people....Augusto,it was great to finally meet you in person and watching you wring out the Aurora was awesome!!!
You could tell that everyone was having a blast and the flying by everyone was "OFF THE HOOK"....Greg Alderman put on a great display with the Bergen Turbine, even had her inverted like a foot off the ground :noteworthy :noteworthy
Mike Demita had his normal assortment of beautiful night flying rigs and put on a good show Saturday night.I really liked his BIG Robinson scale model.
I could go on and on about how much fun I had hanging with all the heli-brothers but it would take PAGES AND PAGES
Thanks to everyone for all the compliments and a HUGE thanks to Rodney for letting me fly his Knight 3D...AGAIN!!!
Cant wait till next year!!!!!!! :smokin:

Thanks Vance - I enjoyed the event even more this year than ever. Wish you all had seen Bert kick the Lepton night rig's butt after everyone else went to bed.
And yes I do think we should start a Bobby AND Bert fanclub. Maybe it would bring some groupie 'eye candy' to the events. HC get a little hard on the eyes after a long day flying (kidding Henry!) :)

Thanks to David for another great event. I thought for a while that we might not be able to make it, but I am sure glad we did. The flying was off the hook even with the cold and wind. I am looking forward to next year already.
I can't wait for you to come up to Huntsville so we can return the favor. See you there.
