?? New in the box align 35 esc smells funny?

almost smells like burnt electronics? I don't have any batteries yet so I can't test it. Is it typical of align products to have a burnt electronics smell? the box was sealed when I bought it. It appears to be never used. Just struck me odd.

You know that's funny you say that cause I thought the same thing when I opened my brand new rex SE and took out the motor and ESC. It still smells like burnt ICs.

did it work? I'm a good month away from having batteries to fire this up. (sold a 4 cycle motor so I'll be getting my gyro, just need servo's/batteries/charger/spares and I'm set).

Sorry....... I am not there yet. Should be done with the mechanical build in a week or so, then start the programming part. I will try to remember this post and get back, but....... you know how that goes........
