Remember a while back when the Gaui fans were wanting the X5 without motor, esc or blades? Well Gaui was listening to you and it is now available for pre-order. The MAP on this baby is $499.
There are also some additional new parts & upgrades available and I will include all of them in the pdf attachment. Here are a just a few of them in the price list.

You could definitely use some less grass in your flybar the way you fly :D
The X5 looked really good last weekend.

$499 for a basic kit seems very high.
You can purchase the kit +motor+blades+esc from Taiwan with free EMS shipping for $540.

The FES boom is a bit shorter and we are waiting for the exact reason for the change. We will have this conversion (hopefully flying) at IRCHA. The frame stiffener is really a battery guard for preventing contact with the motor during a crash.
I have attached the FBL instructions and a diagram of the battery "fence".

Damn, I need a spine. Anyway, the battery saver looks like a good idea.

I have been looking at this bird for a while now. Now that i can get a basic and flybarless head just may push me to it. What would definetely seal it would be a basic kit with fbl head and frame supports all in one box. I really dislike having to get a kit with a flybarred head that I will not use. Oh well! And my thoughts on frame support is that if it should be there it should be part of the kit period.

Jack,
Do you have a similar set-up drawing for the 425 / 550 FBL head - I have the instructions that came with the swash-lock, but there are no lengths for the FBL swash-to-blade grip linkages, or a meaurement for the distance between the swash-lock and the bottom of th emain rotor head.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers,
Mike.

Thanks Jack. We need a longer boom ;) (550's :YeaBaby:) an extra 30-50mm on the standard length would do it;) I'm having to use Hirobo bits on my Gaui's and they are always arguing when i'm not looking
