Chris,

In case Teeroy can't get back to you today, the LHS is just a few blocks from the field. It will be easier to get directions from somebody at the field than for me to try and explain it here. Just stop by and ask.

As for fuel, Big Al said he will have some Magnum with him for sale. I don't know about any other brands.

See you there.

Hey Y'all!

Since Huntsville will be my first Heli fly-in, I'm trying to get an idea what to expect. Will there be anybody selling connectors and the like? {I need main battery connectors (deans???) and either a lesson in vbalancer 101 or a connector for my align RX pack it looks like I can use one 'leg' of the 6s balance adapter but ????}.

If so I'll buy 'em there, I'm putting the electronics and servos in just now, and maybe just maybe I can have a working 600 to bring, not that I'll be flying, but I sure could use an experienced eye to look it over.

Thanks all, look for a short, kinda overwhelmed looking 30 something dude with a blue jeep and a helifreak hat

There are a few vendors that are coming and I am sure they will have Dean's connectors.. If not the LHS is just down the road and he will probably have a few as well

We have several reps and experts that will be at the FF to help you with the v-ballancer

Gimbal if you need someone to look over your 600 bring it down where the red trailer will be set up with all the Auroras and Trex 600s and ask for Chief Wilson. Thats me and I will be glad to look over the heli.

I'm making final preparations now and packing my stuff. Got my metal gear sets for my 285's today and I just finished putting those in a few hours ago. I stripped the nylon ones in a crash about a month ago and recently found out that I wasn't going to be getting replacement nylon gearsets anytime soon so I opted for the MG sets to solve the problem for good (hopefully). Since the crash, I've been using Esky servos off my HoneyBee and I can't wait to get back to using my JR digitals.

I didn't have time to clean up the wires yet but I'll tackle that in Huntsville when I get in Thursday night along with any last-minute adjustments and possibly revising how I mount the servos. I've stripped a couple holes in the CF using the JR screws, grommets, and eyelets so I might want to try using the Align screws and tabs like I did with my Esky servos. Only problem there is the screw heads are too small so I might have to re-think how the servos get mounted.

In any event, I have all I need to wrench on the bird when I get there save for some zip ties I'll pick up tomorrow (Thursday) so I'll be seeing you guys soon. Here's hoping work goes by fast!

I'll have to look you guys up, getting ready to install radio in my 600 as well.

Sounds like a good time to get some pointers, so I'll load up my 600 and bring it.

We had a blast this weekend, great job guys!

Finally got enough nerve to put mine in the air Sunday morning. Thanks Troy and Cliff for helping with some advice. Found the root of my problems this afternoon at the house (While flying) The clutch bell was broken! Auto'd it in on top of a fire ant mound!

Looking forward to next year already. :D

It was really nice meeting you Alan. It is always good to put a face to a name. That's what is great about this hobby, being able to help others out. The people are the reason that I enjoy this so much.

Are you guys going to make Chattanooga next month? We will be there.
