Hey guys here is you chance to try out the Kora motors. I have flown the Hyperions and Hackers and the Kora is hands down the best motor I have used. It is extremely powerful and efficient. I believe it is lighter also but on 5S with the Jazz esc this motor is psychotic.  I have the 15-10W with the 19 T pinion and it is stupid crazy power. I am going to try the 15-12W so that I can run a higher T-Curve. ReadyHeli is the only US dealer that carries them. :glasses2: Thanks John for getting these in.:D

Which motor and pinion for a 4s setup?

I believe Corrado aka Heliup is using the Kora 15-14W. I am not sure which pinion correct me if I am wrong but the I believe he is using the 24T pinion.
These are the best motors IMHO. :smokin:

If you want to try 5S these motors are just plain ballistic. Even on 4s they are monsters.

Kora 15-14W with 24T pinion here. :)

Works fine, though I havent tried any other motors.

Fredrik, what is your run time?

I only get 5 mins with my Hyperion setup. 10 turn on 4S. :D

I puts back around 2100mA after a 6min flight, Im using a FP EVO20 3700mA pack.

I am using the Kora 15-10W with a 19 T pinion, FP Evo 5S 3700mah "NF"and after about 5 1/2 mins I put back around 2650mah. Everything is just warm to the touch. I am going to try the 15-12W with the 19 T and try to run a higher T-Curve. Right now I am running on Idle1 a flat 65% and idle2 a flat 70%. These motors are light, powerful and just plain awesome. :smokin: Coupled witht the Jazz and it is a match made in heaven. :D

Wouldn't the Kontronik Kora 15-16W be a better match with the lower kv? It would seem that it would give ~2800 rpm h/s with the 24T pinion.

690 U/min/V
6-18 NiCd/NimH
2-6 Li-Ionen

I e-mailed readyheli to see if he intends on getting these or perhaps if they are already on the way.

Done any comparison with the Z-power?

Which ESC are you guys using, 55 or 80??? Thinking of getting a Lepton myself and leaning towards with Kontronik products (love them on my T-Rex)...

thanks,
Ray

I'm leaning towards the 80 on my upcoming lepton build as it's less expensive and a higher amp rating. I figure the other ratings don't matter so much.

Jazz 55-10-32 with the Medusa 3.5A 6V and 5.1 voltage stepdown for the 9254 on tail. Alot of Logo owners are using the Jazz 55-10-32 on their 10s and 14s on 10S and having no problems. :glasses2:

Wooo Readyheli has the Kontronik Kora 15-16 (http://www.readyheli.com/Kontronik_Kora_15_16_Brushless_Motor_p/kora15-16.htm) in stock now. ohhh this is bad. I'm soo tempted to get some lepton goodness.

Would anyone know the pole count on the Kora 15-14w motor?
Thanks in advance

I think that it is 16, but not sure. I have sent a note to Kontronik, but so far haven't gotten an answer back. (I didn't want to take the motor apart.)

If I use 16 poles on Eagle Tree's Micro Power, it seems to work out with what I expect from KC's Spread sheet (Within 200 RPM at the head.
