He is using the Pumped SZ. I believe it is recommended to just vent the line to the atmosphere. You should just it let it hang below the bottom of the tank.

Kenny,
When you mount the vent tube below the bottom of the tank, it works kinda like a trap. Fuel won't go up out the vent when the model is upright, and it won't go above the bottom of the tank when the model is inverted.
You should try the engine first with an open vent. In SOME (NOT all) heli set ups, especially those with extra fuel lines and/or plumbing between header tanks and so forth, you'll need to add pressure to keep the engine from going lean. Try it open vent first; muffler pressure disallows the use of a fuel magnet, and you'll have to service the tank lines regularly due to the corrisive effects of engine exhaust.

Also the pump is sucking fuel from the tank. So there is positive pressure on the vent line.

David and Ben,
What size and brand of clunk line are you using for the pumped SZ or cline?

I am using Cspec with OMI carb. I use medium fuel line.
David
Thanks David. I was using the small on the YS with the Fuel Magnet and no problems. I thought the medium was a little stiff but I will try it with the OS.

If your talking about the clunk line. I use the clunk ( fuel )line that MA supplies in the kits. It is medium size and very flexible. That is all I have used as clunk line for the last 4-5 years.
David
Ok, now we are getting somewhere. Thanks!

Ditto here. Prather medium outside the tank.

Thanks Ben.
It is on the order list. I have been using the Prather medium on everything other than clunk lines for the past 5 years or so. That is some good stuff. I think I have the original line in my fueling jug since I started flying glow again. :) Now that I think about it, I might need to check that.
