Hello all.

Ive been waiting for the Aurora to come out for a while now and thinking it's not going to be out for another while so i'm thinking about just getting a Stratus but I need some Info :arggg:

Ive been reading on fourms about this heli having bad things happen to it. Such as lock outs/ bad vibrations and hard to build :arggg: This is going to be my first .90 heli and I realy don't want to have a hard time building this thing, but I do want to have the baddest 3Dn heli out there.

One more thing. how well are the tail gears on this heli, and how often do they go bad? Cuz I don't want to be flying and all the sudden the tail goes out.

I all ready have some stuff to get a .90 flying. Here's what i got so far.

Radio:JR9303

servos: 3 JRZ9000s servos for the swash. What would be a good JR throllte servo?

gyro: GY611/w servo

RevMax limter.

Engine: OS.91 SZ-H PS Hyper I bought it from rc-toro for 325.00 but its on back order, and ive been waiting for a month now. I mite need to buy one from a different place :dontknow

Reciever: JR2000 and a Thunder Power 7.4V 4000mah reciever pack.

Sorry for such a long post but I realy need some info.

Thank you for your time :D

I've been flying one for over a year.
They build quick, and are solid machines. Lazy assembly 'might' get a glitch if you leave a fastener loose somewhere.
I've gotten a few cases of fuel through the tail with no issues, or failures.

I've had one for around 6 months now. It was my first 90 size heli too. Found it straight forward to build as the manual is spot on. Have had plenty of support from the guys on this forum too.

I did have issues with the OS91SZ PS. May have had a bad one - but it caused the heli to vibrate. Changed to a YS91ST and immediately she flew like an absolute dream! Very smooth.

Its an awesome machine. You'll love it

Switch your backordered engine to the nonpumped engine and drop ship it to James O'Neal for a Cline mod. Cost effective, simple to set up, and runs well.

You can do a search here on HF. James O'Neal runs a machine shop under the name OMI in Alabama. He takes your carb and adds a Cline pressure regulator and modifies the carb to make it work. The whole deal is about $75 or so, most of which is the cost of the reg. The resulting engine has a pressure fed, demand regulated fuel system similar to what you'd see with a YS. It's reliable, easy to tune, and easy to troubleshoot trash if anything ever slips by your filter. The OS pump system works well for some. For others it has been an unfortuanate experience. The Cline system seems to satisfy everyone.
