i have already started the build and changed the landing gear to the 4 pc instead of the 1pc plastic one. next is to get the servos all working the right way before installing them into the heli .

looking good and like loads of fun .. you can install servos first:thumbup:just a thought, lately when i build i will complete the heli and wiring and get everything tied and polished off except the horns and do that last .. i do test fit the horns to get proper servo spacing so the linkages wind up straight up and down at a horn 90 position before i screw the servos in, may take shims on the elevator servo or somthing .. also if i wire nice and tight and in bundles i will color code the servo and its wire at the plug end with a marker dot so i know which goes to what servo ...

I just took the 2 metal servo holders off and did all I needed to do, 90 'd the servos leveled the swash, leveled the head. Put it all back in the heli and it was done ...... I thought? At full pitch I get 6 deg , not good . Got to go back and remeasure the servo links , UGH , another 4 hours . Maybe I can just set the blade links for 10 degrees at full pitch and reset the pitch curves.

here is the pictures of it so far, i may get to it today maybe tomorrow been busy working.
you see the esc with tape on it , well i was soldering the connectors on and a solder bb dropped right inside . i tryed to get it out but it was jammed in there , good thing i did cut it open it was jammed between the heat sink and one of the IC's

I finished it this morning and had the ailerons reversed , had to change my underwear almost on the maiden flight LOL . fixed it and it flew good, lifted off fine and hoverd good . after flying the HK450 ver1 plastic ,and this one all metal everything , the only difference i can see is the looks , they seem to both fly the same , but i did need 2 metal weights on the head with the plastic version . i guess the real verdict would be getting the real 450 pro and see if that flyes better or almost hands off .

How about replacing main shaft with align if it fits, feathering shaft and tail shaft with aligns? Those shafts are a weak spot on every clones helis. Just a head up.

so far the stock pieces are working fine , the only thing that failed on me was the screws to the blades . i replaced them with bigger and stronger ones and it flys good.

I would only replace the tail slider, tail shaft, main shaft and feathering shaft and just fly it stock with
those electronic. Looks good but can you give me you're full specs of what electronic you're using.
I did notice about the futaba 2.4ghz receiver, that dynam gy48v and the motor is turnigy? And you
said i should see how you fly, how do you fly? :)

i can fly around no crazy moves like others do . on the sym i can do loops and rolls , too scared to do it on the real thing. setup is the futaba 7c 2.4G radio , gy48v , htx900 and a hd digital servo .08sec on the tail . this went into the scale US COAST GUARD fusealage. i flew it a couple of times but its out of the fuse right now . i need to balance the fuse a little better before i fly it again, and need to make it look more realistic to the real heli .

its finally done ......... THE US COAST GUARD BUILD lol .
i took the flybar weights off because i wanted to see if they made a difference . it flew so stable with out them . all thats left is to make some side pieces for the gear to make it look more scale , but it flys great .
