Hi guys,

i am close to finishing my new ionx and oh man is it looking saweeet :) yes yes i know i have taken my time hey?!

ok, with my First plug in and start up,

do i leave blades off?
do i run a Std Pitch Curve?

this esc is already been setup but on a different radio.

is there anything i should be doing first or what i should check before i plug it in?.

Cheers,

I'm not sure if this is practiced widely, but when I do the first spool ups on an electric heli, I do remove the main and tail blades for safety. On that first spool up, I just very quickly check for proper direction of rotation and that there are no sudden starts as pitch/throttle is applied. Typically, the heli needs to be anchored in some way.

Other guys may have different thought on this subject.

Post some pics when you can!

Alan

If the motor is reversed it just turns your main gear backwards and nothing else moves pretty much.

When you start the spoolup go to zero degrees on your left stick and pay attention to the tail. Pretty much it. Don't forget to set your F/S to cut throttle.

hey , the way I always do it , start it up at about 30% throttle , make sure everything is correct, left , right swash and blades tilting where thay should , then tail. also make dang sure the gyro is counter reacting the inputs . I usely use normal mode ,
