G3 Receiver problem

Well here is a strange one for ya. The only way I can get my rec. to power up is to go through the freq. setting procedure.

1st set freq in radio (etc etc)

2nd rec. powers up and works fine (was setting up a new heli and probably had it on and functioning for 10-15 min.)

3rd turn off rec power.

4th turn on rec power and nothing ! no servos, no lights in rec. nothing. The 611 screen is working so I know there is power there.

I've tried turning it on 1st (before transmitter) and 2nd (after the TX)
the only way to get the reciever to work again is to go through the channel select proccess again and then it will work until you turn the REC. off again.
Also it usually takes 2-3 times going through the channel select before the rec. will work.
Other Rec. works like it should (tried both back to back)
The Rec. that is acting up is the one from my original 12z but I dont see that making any difference.
any ideas ?

Sounds to me like your not going thru the frequency setting process correctly and the RX is not storing the frequency.

Be sure to let it beep a couple of times after you press send before you turn on the receiver when setting the receiver.
I have made the mistake and it does just like your describing unless I let it beep a couple of times before turning on RX.

I let it beep 3 times before connecting power to it. I'll try again



well it held when I cycled the TX on/off and left the RX plugged in, I dont remember having to do that before but its working now :dontknow
