I'm relatively new to setting up nitro heli's and a buddy has bought a Hirobo Schweizer 300 ( I initially thought he bought a Shuttle) Either way here is my question. I built the chopper for him and am having a hard time getting equal pitch values both pos and negative. I have the pitch throttle servo centered equal throw in both directions and 100% EPA. The swash is level as well as the mixing arms and stabilizer arms. All at mid stick. However, I'm getting pos 11 and negative 8. I can't seem to equal that out. This is not a ccpm heli. Right now pitch values are set up linear. Any suggestions would be awesome? Thanks.

Center the collective stick on the radio. Set the main blade pitch to 0 degrees trying to keep all the arms level. That should make the pitch even on the top and bottom of the pitch range.

Seeing as how it is a scale machine you may not want to have +/-10. Having more pitch on the top end for autos and keeping it at -8 is not a bad thing. I would leave it as is and set the pitch curve in the radio to get the desired pitch range for diffrent modes.

examples being
normal -4 to +9
idle up -8 to +10
hold -6 to +11

Thanks Jon I appreciate your input. I do get 0 degrees with stick cenetred and all arms level. I'm thinking there may be a possible defect with the pitch arm. It is a funky arm. :arggg: Thanks again.

Suggest measuring the distance the swash moves going from center stick to full up and down. Am guessing not the same.
