Virgil49,
The Falcon III is a good trainer helicopter, if it's the one I think it is. I think it has the 8 mm main shaft, and if so, it has reduced collective range. It's basically a Hawk III with longer boom, blades, different gear ratio, and motor mount for the 46/50 size engines. It will get you thru training just fine and will do basic aerobatics (stall turns, loops, rolls, and inverted flight). Most all of the current Century upgrades for the Hawks will fit it, except the upgrades that go on the main shaft because all use the 10 mm shaft now. However, there is a 10 mm mainshaft upgrades, and If I were you, I'd consider getting it if you have an upgrade "opportunity" in the future.

SteveH. My Falcon III came from the factory with the 10 mm shaft. Must be a little newer than what you were thinking. I'm going to fly it till it gives up. thanks

If it came with the 10 mm main shaft, all the better. That means that ALL the current parts and upgrades will fit.
