I just got Reflex V 5.02. Everything looked like it was working OK.

The scenery was awesome. It automatically had picked 8160 x 3160 on the panorama resolution when i installed and that was working fine.

I am using a Spektrum DX6 radio.

When I installed the Trex from Trex Tuning (the yellow one) it came up with white (blank) scenery. Other then the Trex (or any other heli now) there is anly a shadow. This is true for all the scenery except the "Reflex Scenery with selectable pilot location" which is not nearly as good. This is the only scenery that works. This is true now with any other heli model I select now like the Raptor.

I have searched previous threads because I thought I had seen something like this before but couldn't find it.

What happened to my scenery? Can anyone help?

I guess it has only been one day so I edited this to took "Reflex support sucks" out. I can't get the Reflex store http://www.reflex-sim.de to respond to my registration for log on. I have tried 3 times and sent them an email. It is supposed to give an automatic response (email) for activation of account. It appears you have to log on to get into some of the support section. I am waiting for every other forum on this to respond to my registration. I hate to go to the other place I am registered .

Shouldn't the box Reflex came in have some documentation also.

I just removed the trex files from the heli directory, uninstalled reflex, and reinstalled. Still does the same thing. I tried adjusting frame rate, resolution, etc. I haven't messed with the video card yet. It is the one picked automatically on installation and it work before.

I installed on my laptop which is not near as capable and it works adequately. It was a bit choppy so I reduced resolution and played with frame rate. Not near as good as it was on my desk top before it quite showing scenery. Still a bit slow, low quality, and blurred background during motion. About what I would expect from the laptop.

Is there any support for this. No response from reflex store yet. http://www.reflex-sim.de

i had that problem. i was messing with zoom and it all went white.... then lagged. I rebooted to fix it.

I've had cause to email reflex myself, but i registered (for free!) on the website, and used the proper tech support channels.

I had maybe three or four emails worth of polite and personal correspondence which solved all my problems. I'm not 100% happy with the product but i was very pleased with the personal support i was given.

Thanks Rogan,

Of course I rebooted several times then uninstalled and reinstalled after removing the Trex files as I said.

I registered with reflex but it didn't work. They are supposed to send you an email before you can log on. I registered 3 times. No email. Obviously this is a part time thing for them so maybe it will still work. I am going to try updating my graphics card drivers and whatever from dell next week.

I registered 3 times. No email.
I'm going from memory, but if I recall correctly I had some trouble too. It was related to my IE security settings that were blocking popups. I think there is a popup that you need to allow to get the registration to go through. Change your browser settings to allow popups and see if that helps. Good luck!

Thanks. I do have popups blocked. I will try that.

I sent Reflex an e-mail two weeks ago (registered) and did not get any answer yet. I just e- mailed them again and I surely hope they will answer this time!

The e-mail problem was my fault. A guy from a reflex store emailed me under his email and told my my email was probably blocking their emails. They were going into my junk mail folder. These were just for setting up my log on though and I didn't get any meaningful support out of them yet. They told me the files I was trying to install were probably defective. I was having problems after installing the Trex from Trex Tuning. I did work out my first problems and have it working now. Problems with with scenery were caused by the Reflex.ini file (I don't know exactly why). I replaced this file with one sent to me by someone with a JR radio and that fixed the problem. The other was me not picking a model picture (model appearance) in the model parameter box and that caused an error message and wouldn't save the model. Turns out that box was blank and it has to have a model in it. I couldn't pick another one either unless I saved this one and since that didn't work I couldn't even close the program. I had to reboot or stop the program with ctrl-alt-del (close program). I am now working through setting up the radio and model to work like my real one. Mixing in the radio, auto-rotation, etc.

I am sorry, this doesn't help your problem BarnOwl. It just shows that is is quite a task / learning curve to set it up and get it working properly if it works on your computer at all.
