Anyone with an Actro with the stock Hacker 77-O and the programming box have trouble with it not giving the audible "Beep" after the settings are entered?? I have gone through the programming several times but cannot get a Beep for comfirmation.. I used the programmer on a 48-O ESC with a Hacker Outrunner and got all the beeps when programming it but none on my Ion with the Actro...

Just curious..

Rick,

If your stock 77 heli esc is a real old one, it may not work with the box. Check with Hacker to see if this is the case. I think if the lable says 10s on it it's ok. Otherwise you will just have to use tx stick programing. Good luck.

My Ion-X's Hacker ESC is not box programmable either. OTOH, my Joker's Hacker ESC is programmable. Here are the differences:

Non Box Programmable: Is a Heli Master 77-3P. It doesn't have a line of cell count/LiPo/Voltage information at the bottom of the ESC label.

Box Programmable: Is a Master 77-O - Heli. This one does have a line of cell count/LiPo/Voltage information at the bottom of the ESC label.

According to what I read (I think it was in the Programming Box manual) this line of cellcount/LiPo/voltage information at the bottom of the ESC label is what distinguishes the box programmable from the non-box programmable ESC. You can still use the Tx to program either one. Good luck!

I'd spend a few $'s more and get a 110hv, a bit more current headroom.

I have run and am currently running the HV-110. It rocks, but I think the 85 would also work fine depending on your motor and gearing choices.
