Im looking to get a Scorpion motor but want to keep my headspeed under 2400rpm so i dont have to cut down on flight time but with the 4025-1100 it seems like I gotta run a 17T and keep my head up above 2400 otherwise its gonna bog. Is there any other motor that matches up better to the stock 600? Thanks

What is wrong with running a 17T pinion? You do know that the bigger the pinion, the more tooth contact it has with the main gear and thus the stronger it is, right?

I don't think teeth or strength is the issue, just headspeed. What makes you think you need to run a 17t pinion?

You can run 15 or 16 no problem . The smaller the pinion the less stress on the motor . Dont just take my word for it , You can call scorpion and your align distributer . OR you can run governor mode if you have the right speed control . Its always best to consult the manufacture .

Brainfart...lol. I had a 17 tooth pinion and that motor joined together in my head for some reason. I got a million things going on here at work and trying to get an order together for my heli at the same time. Thanks for the great idea Heligard on the 15 or 16T...
