Hi Guys,

Anyone know if this will also fit the Stratus? If not, any plans for one for the Stratus?

Thanks
Ken

Yes there is one that will be made for the Stratus. I am not sure what needs to be done to make the kit for the Extreme fit the Stratus. It is the fitting of the bellcranks on the side of the model that is different between the two I believe.

Currently, we are prototyping the conversion for the Stratus but there will definitely be one. I'd wait a little while before ordering as, while I have the model together with the 140CCPM in it, I have no flight time on it yet.
The Extreme kit does NOT fit on the Stratus.

This is the first that I have heard of a 140 kit for an extreme. Is it better at getting some of the interaction out of the heli? Sorry to hijack the thread.

Thanks david. Looks like a nice upgrade but I dont think my 9c supports 140* programming without getting into a bunch of programable mixes.

All radios that do 120 deg eCCPM and have one free mixer will also control 140 deg eCCPM.

Can the 9C do 140 CCPM?
The program mix that is necessary is elevator as Master to pitch as Slave. For example, with a Caliber, start with -35% down linear mix and -33 up linear mix.

Also, in the Swash AFR programming, you may need to increase the elevator or other throws to provide the same travel as the other settings with a 120 head.

Here is the first instructions wrote for the 9Z. They will work with any radio.

Can the 9Z radios handle 140 degree CCPM? If so, how?
All 9Z family radios have always been able to support 140 degree CCPM by simply using either SR3 or SN3, depending upon heli setup type and a little creative mixing.

Per World Renowned Helicopter Pilot Dwight Shilling:

In order to accommodate a 140 CCPM setup with the 9Z requires the use of one program mix. The program mix that is necessary is elevator as Master to pitch as Slave. With my Caliber it requires -35% down linear mix and -33 up linear mix. The only other change is in the SWH menu. The elevator rate will need to be increased to approximately 70 to give the same control input as the standard 120 CCPM using a rate of 50. With these changes the Futaba will fly 140 CCPM perfectly. That is the setup I flew at the NATS with the Caliber. Using the 140 CCPM gives a more precise feel to the elevator inputs but does not change the collective or aileron feel.

I would love the 140 CCPM on my Stratus!!!

Will there be a 140 deg eCCPM upgrade for the Spectra-G?

Or will the Extreme or Stratus conversion fit?

Here's a link to details about the extreme conversion

Extreme 140 CCPM (http://www.miniatureaircraftusa.com/helicopterkits/featured_products/140_degree_conversion.pdf)

as Gordie indicated, the Stratus version isn't available yet.

I'll have to look at the geometry for the Spectra but I don't think its the same as the Extreme or the Stratus. Its closer to the Tempest configuration.

Same here, is MA going to come out a 140CCPM for the Stratus ?

It will be so cool if they do !

Now that the Razor has been released. MA will probably go back to working the project.

The 9C Super supports the 140 deg eCCPM.

The 140 CCPM conversion for the Extreme does not work very well for the Stratus. I now have about 40 flights on the prototype 140 Stratus FAI and it has been flawless up to this point. I suspect that MA is waiting for the 140 swashplate parts but has the rest of the conversion available.
I know the 12z and 14MZ have the 140 program built in. I heard the 9CSuper does also but don't remember if the regular 9C does. There is a simple program mix that Dwight Shilling used on the 9Z for 140 CCPM and any radio with a couple of free mixs should be able to do it.

Will work with any radio that does eCCPM and has one free mixer available.
