View Full Version : futaba 7chp idle up set up steps???
i have just built my trex 450se and have bouhgt the futaba 7chp radiofor it.
it is all set up in as much as it can hover and perform forward flight. however i can not get the idle up assigned to a switch or program the curve for inverted flight (i am not yet capable of inverting but i want to get used to flying with negative pitch etc). I did not see any clear steps in the manual on how to engage idle up. if any one could walk me through the steps i would be grateful.
thanks for any help received.

If you have a Trex or not this will help out a lot. Bob uses a 7CH to explain the basics.

thnx for the reply but i built the bird following finless Bobs videos. While the vids really helped with building thr bird and understanding curves it didnt detail on how to assign and uninhibit the idle up functions on the radio. Dont get me wrong the videos are great and if it wasnt for them iwould not have got in this hobby. But i was actually after more radio specific advise.

enter program mode.....by holding down the mode button.....when you get in to the program mode you will see it says "B1"
Press the mode butoon again...and it will change to "A1"....you can then enter into the curves there
.except in mode A1 it allows you to turn on as well as set your Idle ups and asign it to a switch there.........
you can't set up your idle up curves in the B1 mode.......
hope that helps....

You have to access the advanced menu as detailed above, then go into the throttle curve and un inhibit Idle 1, only then will you be able to access it and the pitch curves for idle 1

I agree, I have the same radio with a T-REX 450XL and thats how I had to program my Idle1 and Idle2 modes with separate pitch and throttle curves.
Thanx heaps
problem solved.
