Put a tach on my Blade CP Pro this morning and it's turning 1,880 RPM. Didn't realize it was turning so fast. That means the little motor has to turn in the vicinity of 28,000 RPM. Not sure how fast the tail rotor turns.
What kind of RPM's are you guys getting?

I run 2200 on my brushless setup, I am thinking of running a higher pinion and see how 2500 does. My T-Rex runs very well at 3000, but was designed for those speeds.

I was just playing with my new Hangar 9 tach this morning with my BCPP BL... I thought the light was goofy or the tach wasn't working properly.
I guess it really is spinning 2200...

My bet is a 4100kv motor and an 8T pinion.
Just remember there are no thrust bearings in the blade grips and higher head speeds *could* prevent the blades from feathering properly.
