Why is this club only open to North American 14MZ Customers?? NA isn't the only place that has these radios :dontknow

Because the site is owned and operated by Hobbico, Inc. as a valued added service for customers in their distribution area, which is North America.
It is not owned by Futaba Corporation and has no official affiliation beyond the fact that Hobbico is the exclusive north American distributon company for Futaba products.

Well that just sucks big time
So why the only post in the Welcome area in which I can access is from Futaba

The software upgrades are on RCFan's site if you want them. PM RCFan for the info.
Last time I was on there, it was mostly a lot of unanswered questions and the new software. You are not missing much I don't think.

Since the subject line is one that is near and dear to my heart....the F'ing Futaba Flyers Club, I had to jump in and say to Mark, that dude, you are NOT missing a thing. Hell! I bought two 14MZ's and I live here is the US and there is so much that we are not missing, that they didn't even send me the "secret handshake," Futaba Halloween shirt, or the correct way to do the Futaba belly-bump....much less an invitation to the club. I do have the orange neck strap, so until we are missing something, I guess we will stay uninvited to join....and, the more 14MZ's you buy, the more you are not missing.
Sorry Will, had to jump on this one with my customary load of sarcasm.

HA! I got my shirt and membership login (my name and TX serial number for password that is how it works). But there is no info there. There is more info HERE and RCFans site than the club site.

Holy crap! Did you guys see the post on there last night!? I think that's going to completely change how I look at this entire hobby, probably improve my flying 100%, and possibly help me to make a good chunk of money in the process.
Don't worry Mark. It doesn't really apply to you.
(sorry guys - I had to do it!)

Rick,
That is cold.....very, very cold. The FFC is one of the "last chapters of what the f**k's the use (old saying from a friend while we were stationed at Moffett Field)."
I LOVE the radio....one of those things I just took an instant liking to, so the club is just so much "window dressing."
(yeah, Rick, and I wouldn't have missed the chance either)

probably improve my flying 100%
Unless miracles are posted there, nothing would improve my flying
I was hoping there was a post on how to change the font to Kids
I got the latest update from RCFan's site - bit worried at first as the bootloader is still named for the 12 - but done it and now I have more options to wonder what they do :D

Rick,
That is cold.....very, very cold.
I have a note from my doctor. I'm not responsible for my own actions.
That aside... you're an ex Moffet Field guy? I live about 3 miles from Moffet.

Rick,
I got to Moffett in 1980 for Flight Engineer school at VP-31. Then went to VP-48, back to VP-31 where I was commissioned in 1983. After that tour, I stayed with VP-40 for five years, then was transferred out her to Pax.
Used to know of a couple of "watering holes" out there. Names like the "318." KC's and the Cottage plus St. James Infirmary were all way-points while waiting for traffice to clear on the one hundred and first parking lot (101). Lived in San Jose the entire time I was out there, but loved the Bay area.

Don't worry about the software being lableled 12. The 14 MZ was originally a 12 when it was in the development stages. That is why the software is labeled 12Z. The 14MZ did not become a 14 channel till about 6 months before it was released for sale.
The 14 and 12 share basically the same software.
