I don't believe this story at all. Being hit by a 450 at full speed without getting hurt -- yeah right. Nice flamebait, though.

I got myself in the thigh with a B400 in normal mode and it looked like someone with a good arm threw a brick at it. A hit to the back of the head would draw blood at the very least. On drugs, flying behind oneself out of visual range, somehow avoiding the ducking reflex when hearing the heli come for your head (this is my biggest problem with the story), his cavalier reply to Bob O... I call flamebait too.

man you are so lucky if this is true, now have a little think about what would have happened if that was your velocity, you could quite possibly be dead.do you know why they call accidents, "accidents". you probably don't belong to a heli club and just to give you a little bit of reality try this, make sure you haven't had lunch yet.

I'm not going to take any more bait on this.
No kidding. Got any photos of your head or the broken heli?

Hindsight might have 20:20 vision but still doesn't give you eyes in the back of your head.
I'd be thinking that a crash helmet with mirrors glued onto it might be a help here or perhaps something more radical like turning round to look?? Ahh of course forgot the medication... You'd have proably turned got dizzy and fallen over, broken your arm and smashed the heli up worse that it was.
If you take out the could have hurt quite a bit it's one of the funny ouch things that you could have videod and sold to a TV show.
Leave the pain in and its a good warning to keep an eye on just whats actually going on.
It's usually the ones you don't see that get you

...after reading this post the first thing I feel is I just wasted 5minutes reading this .
next thing is , I hope the natural heli filter catches this before an innocent bystander gets injured.

Ok, you know trolling after fish, like salmon?
You put out some bait on a line and just sail.
This is like it - the bait is a stupid post and we are the salmons biting
using our postings when we believe the post is real ;-)
It may happen when someone is just bored and doesn't have a life.
I don't know, but that could be an explanation?
Just explaining what "trolling" is.
Cheers

one of my friends was holding a novus cp and by accident hit IU switch instead of throttle hold and hit flew and hit him in the arm. cused a small slice in his arm and a bit of blood. for such a small hei it can still do damage. helis are very dangerous.

What has your salary got to do with the validity of a post and the worthiness of reading it? I'm not trying to start anything, it just makes me laugh when people post about a thread being a waste, if you truely felt that way then why waste anymore time posting, especially if it's to say what a waste of time it was. Like me wasting 45sec replying to this......great, now I'm guilty of it too!:)

+1 well what im gunna do is just goes balls out trying some new moves on the Pro due to its current state knowing im gunna crash it but that crash will teach me something at least...then ill replace the head block with the new pins and every thing else i will break and just start all over from there
Cool. Get some videos of it this time and make sure your next of kin knows how to post them just in case this time it is a big deal.
OK, I don't really wish harm on anyone. Please rethink your strategy here. A 450 IS really dangerous and it COULD have killed you. You were lucky.
