Every time I use Reflex the PC auto shuts down after a couple of minutes.
The thing that bothers me most is that the Reflex support does NOT answer my e- mails. I think I have had it with this program and get Phoenix..........
I use an Asus W2V notebook with Windows XP. Radeon X700 graphics card.
I have no other problems, using the latest windows and graphic drivers and I can play any game without problems.
I post this here because I hope someone had a similar problem and knows a fix, allthough my chances are slim I realize.
What bothers me most is the fact that I purchased a €200,00 sim and don't get any support from the makers.

I was having problems with them setting me up for a log-on id. Their e-mails to me were going into my junk mail folder. My fault. Reference other thread in this forum for complete details. Although probably doesn't help with the problems you are having with the software. http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?p=221885#221885

Yeah.....I read that thread. Thanks anyway. I sent a second e- mail two days ago and that also went unanswered.
I solved the problem because I found out it had something to do with my USB hub. Allthough I had the Reflex dongle straight into a USB port of my laptop, somehow the USB load became to high and shut the pc down everytime I played Reflex.
By taking out the USB hub (Externally powered) the problem vanished.

I just got an email today asking for my "dxdiag" DirectX diagnostics program. It was from Maleika Tobias <tmaleika@daddies-finest.de>. You might try emailing him.

All I know is in my last post here, beats me..... :dontknow
It is not completely gone though......this morning I experienced the same thing again without the USB hub in. Only if I kill just about all processes and have a completely clean system the program runs ok.
Are there any better T-Rex 600 models around yet?

Sorry, I reread you post. Missed part of it the first time The Reflex site does say don't use remote USB ports or hubs or something like that.
I got mine working in governor mode with no throttle pitch mixing from the radio. I am trying to get that working now. Having problems like no power, electric model shuts down when I go to idle like it was a nitro, gyro intermittent, etc. Wish there was more documentation. Sounds like some folks have it working. I got into the .ini files and a lot of it is in German.

The arrogancy of the Reflex Team is amazing. They don't even bother to answer my mails.......
I also have a lot of trouble with this sim: Every time I change a model I get at least one crash before using it. I just HATE that awful red striped wall if you fly too far behind the field. The sound is not really up to par but most of all the allways present crashes. And in this case I don't mean the ones with the heli.......
I bought this sim because everybody was positive about it and frankly the amount of realism is better then RealFlight and AFPD (Used them both)
But stability sucks bigtime. For over 200 dollars you expect a program that runs stable on a modern computer AT ALL TIMES. It should run with all these processes in the background and your connections up. That is simply not the case so I conclude it is badly written code.
I think I'll give Phoenix a try and put my Reflex up for sale.
Sorry about my venting here but I just about had it with this "program". :arggg:
Now I'll go flying the real thing!
