Hi Everybody,

I have a TP 1320 that I dinged the end just a little at Mac's at our big Invasion there this summer. Some of you guys saw it.

It charges great and has never swelled or anything. I put it in my Foamie Yak today and it had lost a BUNCH of its charge from last weekend. I tried my other 2 that are identical packs that were also charged last weekend and they were still up to full charge.

What should I do with this battery?? Is it trash? Is it dangerous?

Thanks very much in advanec for the help. :)

Will,

I didn't see the pack. If it is one of those with the safe charging circuit, I would charge it and monitor the voltage for several days. If there isn't a safe charge circuit, you could have ploblems if you try to charge it. You could charge it in a safe place assuming it will explode. You can send it back to TP. You can take it apart and read the voltage on the individual cells. If they are the same, it is probably the OK.

Hopefully you didn't get a good charge.
As always assume the cells are going to exploid to be safe.

Thank you for the information Jimmy. It is one of the ones without the CS Circuit.

Maybe I should just send it back to TP to be absolutely safe. Probably a good time to send all of them back to get the CS Circuits in all of them at the same time.

Thank you!!

Depends how bad it was smashed. I drove a couple of mine into the ground. They crunched in some and were still fine.

Will,

Let us know what kind of service you get from TP. I am interested.

I ended up just replacing the pack and the rest of my TP 1320's with Duralite e-PLUS Silver 1050 packs which are working great and are 9g lighter with same runtime.
