I just discharged the LiPo (4S), then charged again. In the beginning, the charger consistently charged the battery in C/10 (ie. 0.37A when put 3700mAh, for 2000mAh it was doing 0.2 A), after a while (assuming battery voltage got higher), it was switching to "normal" 1C. Did that happen to anyone before ??

Same here...
Though with a Graupner charger...
I like it...
If you'd hook up a full pack and it goes to full current from the start, you'll have an overvoltage-situation on the battery. That might not last long, but I don't want to find out, what happens (certainly no explosion, but a shorter batt-life, if it happens all the time).
Also, I suspect the charger checks for plausability of the data that has been entered by the user. In example, if you selected 3s but hooked up a 4s-pack, the higher voltage and its increase under small charge do not match the figures of a 3s-pack...
After about 30secs, it'll increase current slowly to the "normal" charge current of 1C.
Notice:
It is strongly recommended *not* to discharge your LiPo's by charger like one would for a capacity-test. Most chargers have a too low cut-off voltage preset, resulting in an undervoltage-situation.
Cheers,
Daniel

Gruezi, yes I know - did this only once so far, this is why I discovered the issue  Thanks for info !
