Does anyone by chance have a dead HS-56 they want to get rid of? If the board is good, I'll take it. Assuming you just want a few bucks for it. All I really need is the driver board.

(back story)

I just bought 3 of these and installed them in my heli. I've only ran it at 'the field' once. What I did was re-routed the wiring from the front CCPM servo because the routing I had chosen had the wire going right past the motor, and instead, I routed it along the top of the side frame and then down well out of the way of the motor ESC combo.

The first tie strap I used was in a difficult area to get to. So, instead of being able to clip the excess off, I had to use a blade. Now, my carving knife is really sharp so I expected it to cut fine with just a little bit of effort. Unexpectedly the knife went right through the tie strap and then right through the servo cable severing it completely.

I stripped back the wires and fixed it no problem, but I wanted a more 'permanent' and 'pretty' solution so I bought a servo lead, and went to install that. I clipped the wires off the board and soldered the new lead, no problem. On the last wire (the signal wire), I noticed there was a tail of solder sticking off it where some solder clinged to the iron when I pulled it away from the joint. This 'tail' slumped over toward the middle wire and looked like it might touch it. I used a small hook to try to gently bend it back and away, it was really very thin and I didn't see the need to re-heat the joint just to get rid of it. Unfortunately, the entire joint was still rather warm so I basically pulled the entire tab away from the board. Since this is a multi-layered board and mostly surface mount, it is pretty much a total loss. Even if I could fix it, it would not be flightworthy in my opinion.

So, if anyone has an old HS-56 around they don't want or that has failed, I'd be glad to take if off your hands for a few bucks. The motor and gears on this one are virtually brand spanking new and I hate to lose it totally. I'm too stubborn to just let it go. It's only a week old.
