I switched the gov channel to channel 6 and switch sb is currently set to control it. The set-up procedures from the Model Avionics site says that the switch that controls the gov channel (sb) should range from -100 to +100 on the servo monitor but it isn't doing anything when I toggle the switch. I'm sure this is the reason it won't go into calibration mode. Anyone have any ideas as to why the switch doesn't show any motion on the servo monitor? I've tried switches sa,sb,sc, and sd. None of them show anything on the servo monitor.

This is for TJ Pro. But should be the same for the Rev Max.

We set SteveL TJ Pro up on his 12 Z about 30 mins after he bought it. Took about 5 mins.

Here is the Key that it gets most people. You cannot asign a switch in the function menu. You must go to the gyro menu and do it there. I don't use an asigned switch except to calibrate it. I just sepertate the menus and use rate 1 in all modes.

The above link is straight from the Model Avionics website and the same thing I use to set mine up. The problem is, after I assign a switch to the gov channel it doesn't show any movement on the servo monitor. I used those exact instructions on my Evo 90 and set-up was very quick and easy but now on my Avant it doesn't show any movement on the gov channel in the servo monitor.

Try assigning the gov channel to 10,11, 0r 12 in the functions menu (14MZ but should be similar to the 12MZ)
There seems to be a problem with non Futaba extras that will not function as they should in the default channels. From reading around it looks like they can't handle the simultainious signals from the same channel groups

Go to the bottom of the post and follow my instructions they will work fine.
Mine works fine in CH 7
Both of them
So does my multi gov
both of Charley's TJ Pros
and his GV1
Throttle default is 1 and 7 is not in the same group.

Figured it out. I had set ch.6 to the gov channel. It should have been set to an aux channel. After changing ch.6 to aux and assigning switch sb to it in the function menu I got the rev max to calibrate. Then I went back to the function menu and changed ch.6 to the gov channel and assigned it to switch se(my normal, I1,and I2 switch). Everything is working perfect now.

That is actually the way David and I got mine to work @ IRCHA SE. I set ithe function to GEAR and then back to GOV CH, I have since gone to using the RATE option in the gyro menu.
Glad you got it sorted.
It is really giving people a hard time that the switch in Function menu does not do anything if GOV1 is selected. Futaba should posts something on this or make it work.

For some reason I did it right the first two times I set up a rev max but this time I forgot about it.
Thanks for all the help.
