I'm using the 35A ESC on my TRex with the 2220-06 motor from Hyperion. I like the set up. I'll be using the 80A ESC from Hyperion on my Lepton along with the 3025-10 motor and the Hyperion BEC.

Do you use the governor on the 35A ESC on your TRex ?

No, I'm not using the governor yet, still working the kinks out. I need to reprogram my 35A ESC to the following per Hyperion for a TRex:
Below are some suggestions from Hyperion on a TREX setup that may help with your quick startup issues.
Set 35-PSW for RPM CONTROL Range 2, Tx for 45% to 50% throttle max. The setup should have about 3100rpm zero-pitch without governor, and about 2800rpm max with Governor and zero pitch.
Check out the nice slow startup when Gov mode is enabled
Note the fact that IDLE UP should be set at 5~10% so ZERO THROTTLE condition cannot happen during flight (ie, during autorotation, etc). If Zero throttle is reached, SUPER SLOW START is engaged at next spoolup, and the heli is in the dirt...(unless you start pretty high up).
