Has any one tried to use different servo arm holes to lesson the travel and slow the cyclic response? I wonder if it would help novice filers? Are there any other radios that could be used in the CP, maybe something with dual rates?

You can use any 6 channel or higher Hitec or Futaba radio with the Blade. JR would require a change of Rx.
The problem with changing holes is you lose the max travel, which you might need.
If you go with a different Tx, I would dial in Expo rather than dual rates.
I fly my Blade on my Hitec Eclispe 7 for now, but will switch it over to JR if I can sell my Eclipse.
If I didn't have a Tx now, I would look serious at the Hitec Optic 6, or bite teh bullet, get JR or Spektrum and swap the Rx.
