If you are using a Astroflight 109 Charger on a 11.1 volt 2200 Battery.

1 Turn the Amp adjusting know al the way counter clockwise to the 0 amp charge rate.

2 Connect your battery to the charger the display should read on the first line 0.00A 3C1 and then the pack voltage. The second line should read 00:00:00 which is the charge time and will begin counting up and 0.00A at the end of the second line which is how many amps the charger has put in the pack.

3 Make sure the charger reads 3C1 on a 3 cell pack.

4 Start to turn the amp adjust knob up until it is set to the charge rate you want to charge at. On a 2200 I set it to 1.80A during the first 3 minutes of the charge and make sure the display still shows 3C1.

5 After 3 minutes the chager will beep and the 3C1 will then change to 3C2. It is now in the main charge phase of the battery.

6 When the battery voltage gets up to 12.60 volts the charger will beep again and the display will change from 3C2 to 3C3. The charger is now in the final part of the charge and the charger will start to pulse the Amp rate of the charger up and down until the pack remains at 12.60 volts with 0 charging going on. The charger will then beep again and the the charger is done charging.

7 When the charger is done charging the second line of the charger will read how long it took to charge the battery and how many Amps it put into the battery.

Just make sure you watch during the first 3 minutes when the chager is reading the cell count on the battery that it finds the correct cell count. On a 3S battery it reads 3C1.

What are you using for a power supply for the charger?

It almost sounds like the charger is dropping out due to low input power, but it should give a input power warning on the display before it fades to a blank screen.

If it is not low input power then I would say the charger is defective.

I think the charger is defective. A 12v 15 amp power supply is plenty to charge a 3S 2200 lipo pack.
