I've come to a conclusion that the 500 definitely likes a softer mount on the 3g sensor so now I've got Spartan metal plate with one piece of 3m4010 tape with one piece of align gyro mount with the align metal plate on top with another align gyro mount and its made a big difference.

My sensor is on top of the tail case.

One problem i got is as soon as you push the heli with some speed it feels like the head blows out and you lose control for a second until you recover the model back, i kind a feels like when the tails blows out and im finding it hard finding the right gain settinds:arggg:

Confirm that you are mounting it with TWO metal plates? If so then it is far to loose or diconnected from heli and that is why you are getting the strange behaviour. Only use one plate with thicker foam tape at the bottom and thin tape between gyro unit and the plate. You can strap it down with a velcro strap to prevent unwanted movement as well.
