I am trying to program a Futaba 7CHP where I can use a switch to completely lock out the throttle (ie no throttle with any stick position) in Acro mode. I want to be able to power the esc of my electrics without worrying about hitting the throttle stick while checking controls.

The best results so far have been setting P-Mix1 to B switch (down position), setting Master to Offset, Slave to Channel 3 and RT to -100. This works for about 80% of the throttle range, I get a weak motor response in the upper 20% stick position.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice of programming a switch for completely locking out the throttle.

Thanks

There is no Throttle Hold in Acro mode, that I am aware of, just Throttle Cut. Throttle Cut does not work when above 1/2 stick. I had an Optic6 previous to the 7CHP that had a throttle lock button that was very useful with electrics. I am just trying to get that functionality with both Acro and Heli modes with the Futaba.

Thanks

You can fly an Airplane with the radio set to Heli Mode. I have done it a bunch of times. I use throttle hold for starting the airplane. That way I know the engine is set to a predetermined throttle position with a switch( Throttle Hold)
