I cannot get my new 490 to work properly in my Trex600.

If I adjust the tail linkage so that its is trimmed at hover in normal mode, it drifts to the right strongly in heading hold mode.

I am using Aux 2 switch on my PCM10x to change between normal/heading hold mode. I have adjusted the travel on AUX 2 to be +50 , -50

I have subtrims and trim set to zero, and rudder travel at 150%

Any help greatly appreciated

The JR 490 gyro has it's own center pulse rate in the gyro. So you have to subtrim out the drift in heading hold. To do that set the gain in heading hold to 100% and the rudder trim step to 1. Then turn on the gyro in normal and allow the gyro to initialize and center. Then switch into heading hold and note the servo slowly drifting and use the subtrim to stop the movement. I usually switch between normal and heading hold several times to check it.

correct and make sure to set the 10X 'trim step' to 1.

the 490 does NOT setup like the Fut 401, the 490 needs to have it's center pulse width ajdusted
via subtrim.
