What would cause a 3 in 1 to fail? Do they fail often? Right stick has all functions...left stick cyclic works, but no rotation of the main rotor or tail rotor. Checked both motors...both OK. Odd part is, it worked the day before. The next morning...nothing, just a strobing of red & green on the LED.
After adding G90 gyro and testing (all working 2 days ago), the only change was replacing the main rotor shaft shear pin yesterday. I didn't change the electronics at all.
After that it wouldn't work...very odd. Tested it with a new motor and nothing. Plugged the tail rotor motor into the main...still nothing. Transmitter works fine on mine. (both are on the same frequency)
This morning I tried re-testing and now I get the normal LED lights, but still no rotation from either main or tail.
Called Horizon and was told to send it back for replacement under warranty. All testing seems to indicated the 3-in-1 is bad, but since I'm new to this, does anyone have any other tests I should perform on the 3 in 1 before sending it back? The Blade CPP is 5 days old.
