Latest News (Feb. 26, 2007):
I want to thank all of you in the online heli community for being so supportive of RevCo. The next batch of pinions will ship to RevCo this Wednesday! We should have them a week later. I will email everyone that has created an account on RevCo-RC.com as soon as they arrive. You can put what you like in your shopping cart and complete your orders as soon as you get my email.
On my next shipment I will start filling the line out with more unusual sizes like larger pinions for the Trex 450 and 600.
If you have any suggestions as to new application and sizes of pinions that are needed feel free to shoot me an email.
With Regards,
Adrian M.

I'm very pleased by your pinions but i till think that two 3mm set screws would be a better option. First, if one is not holding well, the second one will do the job. Second, it's more easy to install the pinion to have 2 set screws. I tight one, remove the second, put loctite on it, put it back wich is easy since the pinion is still attached to the motor shaft by the other screw, remove the first screw etc. With only one 4mm screw the pinion moves on the shaft when you try to put back in place the screw you removed to put loctite. Of course murphy's law makes the screw to often get out of the screw driver and fall. Not a big problem but since we are on steel i think two 3mm set screws would be more easy.

The 3mm set screws are marginal in grip on a 5mm shaft and the 1.5mm hex used to tighten them is very easy to strip out. The 4mm screws are much more secure and can handle the torque loads much better.
Would it be possible to have 2 4mm set screws? They may need to be spaced at 120 degrees instead of 90 to avoid interfering with each other. Thoughts?

One 4mm is just fine! You can put WAY more torque on them being that it is threading into a hardened steel. The 5mm shafts are only held in place by two 3mm grub screws at the bottom of the motor and they aren't threaded into hardened steel.

I know, but the two 3mm set screws are strong enough anyway and my opinion is it's more easy to place the pinion and tighten the screws with 2 screws instead of 1 screw. No real problem, just more easy. With a good quality screw and a good hex screw driver, you can tighten it far stonger than needed.
