Bob can you make a video of setting up a DX7 I have never setup any radio and the manual dosn't like me either. Im setting up a DX7 on my trex 600 and love to see one setup so that I can understand the setup. I used your trex 600 video to help me build my 600 and gratz to you on a great job you do with the videos it helped me a great deal.

Actually they are all pretty much the same. The only thing that changes are some of the terms as to what each thing is.
What we need is a Futaba/JR/Hitec translator. I can do JR/Hitec, but I don't have any Futaba to work from. :)
ATV = Travel Adjust
etc.

Radio setup is one of the things that confuses me the most. I understand some of the curves but not all. I have a Futaba T8UHF pcm/ppm TX and just purchased the Spektrum DX7. Someone had setup my Futaba with my Raptor 30 long time ago, but I dont know what they did :(

As to how to set them, watch the Finless videos. The does a very good job of explaining curves and illustrating them. Not high tech illustrations, but they work. :)
Again, pretty much all the radios are the same, except they use different terms for the same function.
Dual rates are dual rates
Expo is expo, but you have to figure out which way softens the response in the middle, for JR it is + expo, and so I think Futaba it is -.
There is some form of swash travel setting, that is called various things. SWAH etc.
ATV = Travel Adjust
For the gyro setup, some radios the gear range is 0 - 100, so under 50 is rate, over 50 is heading hold. Others go from -100 to 100, so - is rate, + is heading hold.
You may have to read your manual to figure out what swash setup is 120 degrees, on JR it is very hard, you pick the 120 swash configuration. :)
