ok..the Trex450XL HDE V2 :) some parts are pre assembled. I'll be taking them apart to rebuild them..
few questions:
1. The swash is metal now but seems tight to me - do I need to do anything or will it break in? I define tight as It won't move under it's own weight.
2. How do I pull the pins out of the head without messing them up?
3. The part that rides up and down on the pins (in the head..looks like control arms holder) is tight on the pins (see my def of tight in #1 and refer #2), does everything need to have the level of tight/loose as the head description in Bob's video's? some parts we didn't see tight/loose on..just assembly.

The fun begins. :)

I would work the swash a bit and maybe put a drop of Triflow on it (light oil would be fine) and see how it frees up.

As for the washout base, see how it is once you get the head apart. I had one pin slightly bent that caused some sticking. Once I had it apart it was pretty obvious.

What pins in the head? You don't pull the two pins that stick down out of the head that the washout base moves on. And the rest of the things are hex bolts or screws.

Remember to loctite (blue) EVERY screw/bolt that goes into metal, adn DO NOT loctite anything with platic. If there is plastic nearby, make sure the loctite doesn't get on the plastic, it can destroy some plastics. I put a drop of loctiite on a peice of plastic bag and use a pin to stick just a bit into the hole is there is plastic or a bearing involved. Otherwise I put a bit on the very first threads of the bolt.

just some light machine oil and you should be fine.

if there already in there...DON'T there is no need. there held in by alittle loctite or CA, so dont try you'll just bend them.

it shouldnt be tight at all. mine will fall right off the pins if i disconect the linkage rods. thats how it should be.
