I am having a problem with my 401 hunting. I have the same set up on my Raptor and I am flying a Jr 9303 radio. On the Gyro sen. function I have the gain at around 35% and no problems.
Now I just bought the same set up and put it on my new Stinger 50 and I can not get the tail to stop hunting.
I have tried the gain from as low as 25% up to 80% and can not see that much difference. :arggg:

What is confusing me so much is that I have set the gyro up the same way as my Raptor 50.
I have the futabe 9254 servo with the 401 gyro, does anybody have any suggestions before I go crazy.

Thanks

What hole on the servo arm are you using?

On a futaba control horn it is on the 3rd hole from center.

I'm not familiar with JR but make sure you don't have the gyro gain channel set on any other switches. Make sure your aux switch for that channel is set to null.

It's a lot easier figuring out things like this when your actually have hands on it.

That sounds like you may be getting too much throw. What do you have the gyro limits set to? Typically when it's set up properly you should have your gyro limits at 70% or higher. Your servo should reach the gyro-limit/physical end-points with a litte more than half-stick. Your ATV's will govern how much stick it takes to get to those limits (and will control your piro rate).

The full stick deflection will be used when the bird is flying, so don't sweat that.
