Merry Xmas everyone! I hope it was a good one. I'm still looking for a Joker under the tree, but the kids made out pretty well!

For happy landings, tires and brakes are better DJ. What are you flying?

a '76 Grumman Cheetah & '46 Taylorcraft BC12-D. The tires and brakes are for the Tcraft. I went out to the airport today to replace the tires and would you believe the tubes are original from 1946??!! :WOW They still look great and don't leak so I put them back inside the new tires!
what did everyone else get for Christmas?

I can't believe the original tubes have not dry rotted at some point in the life of the craft!

Not really heli stuff, but I got a screen calibrator for my monitor. My wife and I have been doing more printing of our picts (my AP, she does sports photography), so I have been wanting to get screen calibrated, and start using printer profiles, so my prints come back more as expected.
Also I have told my wife many times when I am out doing a shoot of people just walking up beside me and wanting to have a conversation, or walking under the heli while flying, I told her I wanted to pick up some construction cones to mark off a take off and landing zone so to speak, but I had not found any locally and shipping is ridiculous since they are heavy. She came through with 4 of them she found locally, they also make a good megaphone for calling the kids to dinner...

That's some old rubber! Those are great fun flying planes. I got to get one some day. Used to have complete access to a C172 without the maintenance/tiedown/insurance fees...I miss that!
I just got (myself) a new Askman mount! I bugged Andrey today with several questions...he is still on top of things even on Xmas! Can't wait to use it! Thx... Got a 9chp too!

I got a JR Aluminium case for my 9303 so my back-up 2610 gets the hand-me-down plastic case, but best of all, my bank account received a 4 figure sum being proceeds of my first ever AP paying gig!

Got a new tripod for stills and pano's!
The wife said she wanted to get a new lens for me, but wanted to wait and let me pick it out. I want a new Sigma 8mm fisheye for my Rebel, but everyone is sold out. I can't find one in stock anywhere :arggg:

Merry Christmas everyone! Looks like you all were pretty good boys this year!
I got a fishing tackle box with LOTS-o-storage to re-organize all my parts bins into one location. It's something I wasn't going to buy myself and my husband knows it has been driving me nutz lately picking up the wrong bin of parts when I go to work on something. Everything was just too scattered.
I did find out however that my birthday present is going to be an ELECTRIC RAPTOR for AP!!!! :WOW
