Has anyone noticed a difference in servo speed in a ccpm heli when using the 9zwc1 and the wc2? I ask because I have a heli with 9252's on cyclic and a wc1. when i move the collective really fast up and down the aileron servo lags. it does this even after fixing the atvs at high and low inputs. I was told that the wc2 has a faster frame rate therefore it works better with a ccpm heli setup. If I would've freaking known that, I wouldn't have bought the wc1! This of course was left out by the person from whom I bought from. Could it be a bad servo?

Sounds like a bad servo.
I have a WC1 and have flown a similar Fury on a WC2. Not much difference that I could tell on speed.
It seemed to "center" a bit faster and had slightly less interaction than my 8U, but not a real big in flight diff over my 9Z.
Try a different servo and see what happens. Also which ship and CCPM system?

its a vigor on 140 ccpm

Check the servo. That system should have little to no interaction IMO.

I think it was a tired out servo. I replaced it with a newer servo and it got better, now i think the pitch servo is slower :arggg:

There is a difference between the WC1 and the WC 2 and in how they control digital servos. The WC 2 processor definitely processes signals faster for the digital servos. I have had both a WC1 and WC 2 setup to control the same helicopter with digital servos on CCPM. I could visually see the difference in how the servos moved with the WC1 and WC2. The WC2 would move them more together than the WC1 with fast collective changes.

I should've done my homework on this one. Now I have a radio that isn't so hot for ccpm helis. :( It only does it though if I pump the collective really fast, faster than I would ever do in flight.Lesson learned. I could probably correct any interaction issues using the p-mix menu.

P mix is only going to correct the interactions at the extreme ends of the collective range. Still have to do the same with the WC 2 if the swash plate is not set up mechanically correct. Even have to do it at times if it is set up mechancially correct.
I would think what your seeing is the servos not tracking together during fast collective changes. You will see this on the bench, but I have found that usually it is not noticeable in flight. If your pumping the collective fast in forward flight, your going to be giving other cyclic commands at the same time. The WC1 will work fine with eCCPM. The WC2 is just a little more quicker off neutral position with its commands to servos in CCPM setup.

Thanks for the explantion. I'll take it out today to make sure everything is working fine. I'll start saving up for the wc2 or maybe next year an even newer/ better version will come out.

Why?
I think once you fly it you will find the WC1 is just fine.
The smoother more precise gymbals make all the difference in the world to me over the other radios. The 9Z WC's are great radios.
The only feature you are missing is that processor and I don't think it is that big of a deal IMO.
Like David said IF you have done a very good mechanical setup (which you should do on a ECCPM heli anyhow) you will hardly notice the difference. I know I don't and I am anal about smooth and precise kind of controls.
Sounds like you just may need to step up a get some new servos in there. :?

Servos right now is the best way to go. I really don't think I'll see or feel any interaction problems once in the air. I'll keep the wc1 and just get 2 more servos. $150 in servos is better than $750 for a new radio

also you will find the wcI doesn't eat up batt power the way the wcII does. Ron

Ha funny you mention that Ron.
I noticed my WC 1 seems to last about 1.5 days of setup and flying on the stock 800mah pack.
The guys with the WC2's are having to drop those EXPENSIVE big packs in to get them to last that long.
Guess "upgrades" are not always "Better" :D

I flew my vigor with a friends wc2. there was a slight and I mean slight improvement in the response with fast pitch pumps but nothing major. I noticed his sticks were smoother though. I'm going to send it out to get a post season check up and have them make the sticks smoother. I think I was having one of those days( we all have had them). Its the nature of eccpm to have some interaction.
