Hello, just got EVO50 and have some ES539 around - but found tons of threats warning about gear stripping etc. So I try to find some affordable digis from JR for the SWM CCPM. I can find the proven DS811 (plastic 0.21/4) and the new DS589 (carbonite 0.21/5.2) and DS559 (metal gear 0.23/4.8).

Furthermore, 3 x 589 comes in a nice (cheap) 77S RX airborne package (existing 539 for throttle), the 4 x 811 too, but only available in 10DS RX, which cost me double than 589.

I want to use if for sports flying / trainer, I am not 3D really yet, must be affordable, and not drain the NICD RX battery just in 2 flights or so.

Or futaba ?

Thanks for a hint,

Not sure what you are using for the gyro but I'd stay away from putting a cheap servo on it, I'd reccomend the 401/9254 combo, you say you have a throttle servo so that leaves 3 for the head, Id personally get 9252 futabas, they are 69 each in the states.

Thanks, what do you thing about 9255, it's only about 10$ more here in Japan ? What they usually don't say, is how much current drain the servos have, it seems those coreless digis are somewhat very much more thirstly ! I know from my electric (using 3 digis and one 9254), 3amps BEC is sometimes not enough, means they would drain out a 1500mah RX battery in just about 2-3 flights...
