Hello Helifreaks,
I recently picked up a used DX7 tx. Trying to set it up on my Belt CP v1 heli w/a Logitech 2100T gyro. Need to know how do you asign the GEAR switch on Tx to toggle between HH mode and NR mode? I went into the INPUT SELECT menu and selected GYRO under the GEAR option. This enabled the gyro sensitivity menu in Function Mode. I adjusted the gain values under the RUDDER D/R but this is the THRO HOLD switch. I want to use the THRO HOLD switch only for throttle hold not for gyro sensitivity. The GEAR switch doesn't do anything. :dontknow Sorry... Confused.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks,
Byter

Set GEAR to GEAR instead of GYRO. The Gyro Sense screen will disappear and you'll then use the gear switch to toggle between HH and Rate.
Good luck.

Thank you BobO for the quick reply. Wondering though. How do you adjust the gain values remotely if the Gyro Sensitivity is disabled?:thinking

You can set the + side to 40% as a starting point. The - side can be set to 40% as well. You'll get all kinds of input regarding what numbers to use for gain, so I won't get into it that much right now.
Bottom line, if you set both + and - at 40%, that will give you HH and Rate mode by toggling the gear switch, and you can fine tune from there.
Good luck.

Bob— I am beginning to use a DX7 after years of flying Futaba and the gyro options are different, as you surely know. Do you mind sharing your end point numbers on the gear channel?
