Finally flew the lepton..wow...but..

I was very close to selling this heli after frustration with lack of pinion sizes and safe/efficient setups. I decided to keep it and go 5s and i'm very glad i did! The heli flew amazing, incredibly smooth and fast.

However when ever the headspeed would breach a certain point there was a squealing or screeching sound. Did not have a tach so wasn't sure what headspeed it was. It did not effect flight performace or control but kept me from staying in idle 2 for more then a few seconds. At occasional moments it popped up at lower headspeed (idle 1). Any thoughts?

Also after stopping a fast piro there is a fluttering from the tail but again did not adversely affect control. Just something I haven't noticed on my other helis but maybe its normal on this one.

The ringing sound is normal. At first I thought it was because of the aluminum boom, but I switched to a CF one and it still rings, just not as prominent. I'm only running a HS of 2600rpm. Just make sure to keep the tail belt tight!

This is actually one I recieved from kovi a little while back. Very nice pinion. But I ordered another in october and still haven't seen it so... :roll:

I'm hoping it's just a matter of weeks before other sources start to supply them.
