I have recently bought a pair of the E-sky carbon fiber blades http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=38_66&products_id=889
these blades are great, but I am new to the hobby and cant tell the difference between these and the stock symmetrical wood blades that came with my cp2 (however I trashed both sets of wood blades I had before I became any good at hovering, so this is an unfair comparison) the one thing I love about these blades are they're durability, however I know I will eventually break them, and when shopping around I found another set of CF blades for the cp2 http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_65&products_id=2142
they are longer, narrower and are not tapered at the ends, they are also a little less expensive. I have no problem paying more for a good set of blades, but the ones I have originally purchased are out of stock, so I'm looking at these cheaper ones and am wondering if anyone can give me some technical info on the difference between the wider, tapered blades compared to the narrower, longer, non tapered.

thanks

I think a narrow blade will produce less lift. Less surface area.

Also are these blade flat bottom or sym? It looks like they are flat bottom blade or semi symetrical blades from the picture.

the narrow blades are narrower but longer, so they will be more stable. i think they ar thinner so you might get a higher HS, and yes they are symetrical.

the other blades are shorter so there better for flying aerobatics. they will flip around easier but create less lift and flight times are down alittle.
