Hey need some recommendation for servos on a MX 450 XS. Helimax recommends Futaba 3107's. Best Servo with no mod or very little.

Hs 65 metal gear or not. These are considered by most the best servos for Rexes and Mx450 helis. I have them in all my helis. You can even get the carbonite version and later just drop in the metal gears if you feel like it, cause they fit right in.
BTW no modification is nescessaryother than maybe slightly filing a little bit on the frame so the servo fits in lengthwise. its just a little bit and well worth the trouble.

they wont let you down.

BTW, just had my first real flight today with mine. I dont think i could ask for a more stable heli. Feels like one of the bigger helis I fly in G3. Did some figure 8s, circles, nose ins, punchouts, some high speed passes. Great stuff.
not everything was PERFECT:
Could not get the blades to track perfectly, but didnt bother the flight too much. Also, on punchouts, the tail would not hold 100%. Really not that bad either though, and it was only on a couple of times this happened, sometimes it held perfectly.
Bottom line is, IMHO, te stability more than made up for anything. It was gusty out there too. Heli barely felt it at all.

If the tail don't hold on your punch outs, increase the gain, just a hair, until it does. I done my first backflip today, WOOHOOO!!! yeah, they fly good, and very stable. The metal frame is alot heavier than the trex hde version so I think it handles the wind a little better. Also, I found that the helimax 2580 motor runs real good with a throttle curve of 100 - 95 - 100. Headspeeds alot faster, and the tail holds better when I invert it.
