Well I've flown about 2.5 gallons through the new N9 so far and it's doing pretty well. I can't believe how solid it feels in the air compared to the 50's I've flown. I'm also really impressed with how easy it seems to be to work on. I removed the torque tube to check something on it after the first couple of flights and it was a piece of cake. Removing the fuel tank and adjusting the height of the main shaft was just as easy. Looks like the pain of assembly was worth it. :)

I'll post a couple of pics of it on the work bench just for S&Gs.

Are those engine mounting bolts stainless steel? Wouldn't that break by vibration?

Your Synergy looks great. I'm glad you got her all done and enjoying a great flying heli. Hope to see you a IRCHA 2007 in August.

Congratulations,

Bill

Laurens,
The bolts aren't stainless, they just a smoothed off/polished head to allow them to slide past the engine head... it is a pretty tight fit. :)

wore-out-pilot,
I'll be there with bells on! :)

Hey Syn, I have not seen a post from you lately. How your new Synergy doing? Hope you have had a great new year. Let us hear from you. I have already made reservations for the XFC in June and Ircha is August.

Thanks,

Bill

Been too busy flying! :)

I'm loving the heli. Really solid in flight and has the power/maneuverability to make me try more and more.

I'm headed down to Atlanta this weekend to fly with 00boto, so I'm sure he will be able to help me tweak it even further. ...hopefully I'll be able to get some good pics/video while I'm there.

Yes you will get a lot of good info from Matt. He's a great guy and even greater flyer. When you get down there this weekend tell him hi from Bill and the Louisville Heli Boys. Sure wish I could be there too.
